Happy Monday everyone, we hope you’re all enjoying some cooler weather whatever you’re up to this week. We have something really exciting to share with you!
We are so incredibly proud of reaching nearly 4000 followers in just 6 months on The Student Nurse Project Twitter account, they’ve flown by and we’ve had such fun curating the project from blogging to tweet chats to words of encouragement.
So, to celebrate this achievement, we thought we would run our first ever giveaway. We have partnered with the wonderfully generous Happy Planner Co., who have kindly donated a beautiful planner, reflective journal and lanyard pictured below.
Here is all the information you need to be in with a chance of winning the bundle. Enter on either Twitter or Facebook:
Twitter: be following @StNurseProject, like and re-tweet the announcement tweet and tag (@) your student nurse partner in crime.
Facebook: like the StNurseProject Facebook page, like and share the announcement post and comment to tag your student nurse partner in crime.
Dann Gooding, a 3rd year CYP student nurse at London South Bank University and creator of the Student Nurse Project added, “The Student Nurse Project only exists due to the collective hard work of some extraordinary student nurses past and present. Their time, effort and dedication has helped the project to grow and flourish into a community hub or support and information sharing. Through using tweet chats, blogs and other media mediums, I like to think that we, as a team, are encouraging student nurses to use a responsible, not abstinence approach to social media. The interaction has been brilliant, and we look forward to growing as a resource for nursing students starting in September and beyond.”
Claire, a member of the team who is a second-year adult nursing student at Birmingham City University, said, “It’s so exciting to see we are nearly at 4000 followers already! Not just any 4000 but a wonderful mix of amazing people who bring so much to our page. The interaction has been incredible from you all and I’m so proud to be a part of it.”
Rachael, a member of the team who is starting her second-year of adult nursing at the University of Plymouth in September believes, “the Student Nurse Project is an invaluable resource for today’s student nurses all over the country from all fields at all stages of their journey. The team have worked hard this year and have been astounded by your engagement and the opportunities that have arisen as a result! The success of the project is a true testament to Dann and Jess’ brilliant leadership and dedication.”
Debs Cooper, part of the project and a 1-year qualified nurse working in Oncology and Haematology said, “Watching the Student Nurse Project grow to nearly 4000 followers has been amazing. It’s great to be connected to so many like-minded and inspirational STNs and NQs and I learn so much from each time I am on the account interacting with you all.”
So, you know what you have to do! We look forward to looking out for your student nurse partners in crime and the lucky winner will be chosen at random on Friday 31st August 7pm.
